Founded in 1919, Royal Hakvoort is a family-owned Dutch shipyard based in the historic harbour town of Monnickendam, just north of Amsterdam. Now spanning five generations of the Hakvoort family, the yard received its prestigious Royal designation in 2020 in recognition of more than a century of shipbuilding excellence.
Royal Hakvoort specialises in fully custom superyachts, combining traditional Dutch craftsmanship with advanced engineering and modern technology. With extensive expertise in steel, aluminium and wood, the shipyard maintains close control over the build process, including interior craftsmanship through its own specialist joinery company, Unlimited Interiors.
The yard’s intentionally boutique approach allows each project to receive a highly personal level of attention, with yachts created around the individual owner rather than a predefined model. With projects now extending to 70 metres, Royal Hakvoort offers a compelling combination of family heritage, proven engineering and genuine bespoke yacht building.
