Canados
Italian craftsmanship and performance, combining almost 80 years of heritage with advanced technology and highly personalised yacht design.
Founded in 1946, Canados is a historic Italian yacht builder based in Rome, where its waterfront shipyard occupies a former seaplane base. The name derives from Cantieri Navali di Ostia, and the yard’s earliest vessels were commissioned by the Italian Navy, Coast Guard and harbour authorities before it moved into luxury yacht construction. Since then, more than 800 Canados yachts have been delivered.
A defining feature of Canados is its extensive in-house capability. Design, engineering, composite construction, stainless-steel work and interiors are all undertaken within the shipyard, combining modern production technology with traditional Italian craftsmanship. This gives owners significant freedom to personalise their yacht throughout the build.
Today, Canados produces yachts across its Canados, Gladiator and Oceanic ranges, bringing together luxury, performance and innovative engineering. Its long-standing philosophy of building around the individual owner makes the yard an appealing choice for those looking for a yacht with a distinctive Italian character and a high level of personalisation.
