Amer Yachts is an independent, family-run Italian shipyard with roots dating back to 1973, when Fernando Amerio founded Permare. The Amer Yachts brand followed in 1990 and has since grown into a recognised name in Italian yacht building, with more than 100 yachts launched and three generations of the Amerio family involved in the business.
Innovation has always played a central role in the Amer philosophy. The shipyard combines Italian craftsmanship and highly personalised design with an emphasis on efficient propulsion, reduced consumption and advanced engineering. Its long-standing work with Volvo Penta IPS technology is one example of an approach that continually looks for new ways to improve performance and efficiency on the water.
Today, Amer's portfolio spans composite, aluminium and steel yachts, from performance-focused motor yachts to larger custom explorer projects. With only a limited number of yachts produced each year, the focus remains on individual projects shaped closely around each owner's requirements.
