Nobiskrug was founded in 1905 by Otto Storck in Rendsburg, Germany, initially building hopper barges. Over the decades, the shipyard gained recognition for constructing schooners, cargo vessels, ferries, and naval ships, including the naval training ship Deutschland in 1963.

In the 2000’s, Nobiskrug shifted focus to superyachts, delivering TATOOSH in 2000 and pioneering innovations such as composite materials and foldable helicopter platforms. Notable projects include the 143-meter Sailing Yacht A in 2017, and the eco-friendly ARTEFACT in 2020.

After various ownership changes, including a 2021 acquisition by Flensburger-Schiffbau Gesellschaft, Nobiskrug remains an industry leader in custom-built superyachts, blending cutting-edge technology with high craftsmanship.
